This is a great painting. I really like the cold atmosphere you created with the whites and blacks. The background looks fine in my opinion. I think it does its job.

To tell you the truth, I like it better like this. It makes the Nazgul appear more shadowy and mysterious since it lacks definite details. The background accompanies this effect perfectly.
