it certainly is......we as humans, are very capable of some really horrendous things.....we've done them in the past and we continue to do horrible things to other human beings....it is not our ability to think, which sets us apart from animals, it is our ability to do horrible, totally unnecessary acts of violence against others..

Wow, I've never heard anyone put it that way before. And if you think about it, it's very true. I mean even though animals also do horrible things to each other, most of the time it's instinct and they don't realize what they're doing, humans do.

precisely....animals do things because they are necessary....they kill for food, they kill from instinct, but they don't usually go about torturing other creatures for the sake of it......or because the other creatures are different from them.....we make those decisions consciously....

I absoultely love the lighting on this piece... the fire looks like it's really there... and the woman's serene expression is a little strange and frightening.... but still holds some fear.
