This looks like a tool in a program called Bryce, it looked it was the low res version of it!

Very good job, nice projects that you are doing.

Did you make your own 3d renderer for this?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

veclock In reply to roboprez [2010-02-02 13:46:52 +0000 UTC]

yes it's called a voxel engine, and it's quite simple

very nice! i like that you can draw on the bump-map; any plans to do more with this engine, it seems like it could have a lot of possibilities?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

veclock In reply to frateroshi [2009-09-25 02:26:29 +0000 UTC]

A 3D racing game would be a possible re-use of the engine ^^
But I have no plans

nice job as always, veclock. very nice. It reminded me of Sonic the Hedgehog. mainly because of the 2D-ness.

wonderwhy-ER [2009-09-24 09:04:10 +0000 UTC]

Pretty cool I don't know why but pixel based things look pretty interesting for some reason. They kind of look more precise while 3D landscapes look kind of blurred no?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

veclock In reply to wonderwhy-ER [2009-09-24 12:08:52 +0000 UTC]

Yes they do I love pixely stuff!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

wonderwhy-ER In reply to veclock [2009-09-24 13:20:44 +0000 UTC]

I kind of too... Probably because it is hard to make 3D look crispy

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

veclock In reply to wonderwhy-ER [2009-09-24 13:34:55 +0000 UTC]

yep even 3D animations are too smooth, they never look like real motions

veclock In reply to Joe-4-Kerr [2009-09-24 12:07:47 +0000 UTC]

thx
Yeah but that's what happens when the brush is transparent..
I don't really know how to fix it.. but it can be used to make patterns so look at it as a function!
