Thanks, wow, I totally forgot to ever reply to this message. I probably replied in my head way back in July, nodded, smiled and closed the window without actually doing anything. Well I made it really grainy in purpose, that's probably why it looks like a painting to you. It fitted with the contest theme better, since the lights looked like fire after that.

It's a blur abstract I accidentally took during a vacation. In case you don't know, a blur abstract is when you set your camera for a very long exposure time and it get moved around. It was originally a picture of the City of Paris during the night, but it was too dark and it was taken on a boat. For this contest (who's theme is "explosion") I decided to add saturation, sharpen the image and also produce noise and that grainy quality. Glad you like it!
