"We get shot a lot less [like, NEVER]" So I guess it wouldn't be surprising to find Stormtroopers in Cyberspace?

To be fair, Storm Troopers actually do shoot at people "a LOT" - they just never HIT anyone (until plot demands it).

Despite the serious nature of the situation, I LOVE that Matt is the calmer and more rational here. Normally that's the girls' job.
And yeah. When you describe any part of Cyberspace to someone who doesn't have firsthand experience with it, it sounds bonkers. Hence why in a recent story idea I had involving parallel Cyberspaces where the main differentiating factor is that one version of Matt ended up being forced to work for Hacker and the whole story is about dealing with the fallout of that with the two Matts swapped, there's a discussion about why the Earthlings are seeing a Cyberspace therapist; because their parents would think they're insane/disturbed in a way that would require treatment that wouldn't help their actual issues.

...and it's not like all it's corniness ever stopped me from watching it.

...or STILL watching it.

Enjoyable is still enjoyable. Said corniness however does make fanfic more interesting sometimes because the writers can ask questions like "Okay; so how did Motherboard know their names?" (I...don't remember at the moment if the kids addressed each other before she showed up but I do remember Inez saying that Matt and Jackie are strangers to her) or "Is Hacker subconsciously holding back because they're kids and once they hit a certain age, he won't anymore?"

If she can communicate through computers and the screen she used then was part of the library system (and the three of them may have had library cards they got at that library) it stands to reason that she could've found their names in the system.

Hate it when people say something they're not used to is "stupid" XD

Vederick In reply to Square-Watermelon [2018-06-18 00:22:53 +0000 UTC]

It's more "corny" than stupid

The main thing is that compared to the world she's been living in, hearing how ridiculously saccharine theirs is almost insulting to her.

Well, it's a kid's show! What does she expect?Β

Also, my sister and I have a theory that the universe the kids are stuck in is the dark web Β

Having a cybersite (or coalition of them) that represented the "Dark Web" IS a very interesting and neat idea (though considering some of what I've heard is there, WAY too inappropriate for the show ) but sorry, that it isn't the case here.

This isn't a spoiler (Sorry if I didn't explain things well enough), but the "Interverse" is just what the "Cyberspace" of the parallel Earth is called; it's the parallel digital universe connected to the parallel physical universe that Pratt, Mackenzie and Enid are from. Β  Β

In Drifta's defense, it sounds like a fairy tale and quite frankly she's lost her faith in pretty much everything so fairy tales are stupid is totally understandable, if not entirely rational.
