For a long second all Will could do was stare at the teen's back, his mind whirling as he tried to make sense of what was happening- and then Sam's desperate voice broke through to him and he focused on what was important.
Sam tensed in disbelief as the soldier sat down next to him, and without a word slung an arm around him and pulled him into a rough, half-hug.

The last panel is definitely a favorite of mine on this page. Will is portrayed in the story as a sort of father-figure in place of Sam's more oblivious biological parents. His genuine concern and love for Sam is obvious. I'm just glad that Sam has such caring friends despite his recent "developements". They aren't judging him and losing the people he loves to his mutation is his greatest fear, hence the reason he's so emotional. This is a frightened experience for him and I doubt that anyone in his position would be able to keep their composure.
This fanfiction is rated top of my list. I'll see about posting a list of all my favorite fics here soon for others to enjoy.

Yeah, I don't care for many Autobot!Sam fics, but this story is interesting. I do really like how Lennox is portrayed in it. ]:3
