Now there's a proper pattern. The previous ones weren't as smooth, this one's very nice.
But it's a wee bit messy, clean up the dust in image editing?

damn dust!! it's cause of the scanner - it needs a good clean and i need to be able to not smudge my drawings - maybe i might move to pen!

...you've been doing all of these in pencil? Dear god, you need some good inking pens, tiny felt-tipped ones.

Yeah, I only use pencil for the preliminary layout of things, everything after that is in ink, and then I erase all the smudges before finalizing.

You want thicker paper, that's really important. Also, avoid any paper that feels excessively smooth, as that will cause the ink to run and smudge more easily. You want tightly pressed, but absorbant.
Archival quaiity, acid-free, heavyweight paper. Academie is a good choice, if you have it there.
Actually, I can mail you a drawing pad or two, I need to restock anyway, and they're only $2.

No ballpoint unless it's Bic! All other smear no matter what!
