left. It looks more Pokemon-like to me. The right one looks like a dinosaur from Jurassic Park if it were a cartoon show... though to be honest, I'd watch that cartoon if it existed!

The idea of a dino is awesome but the left one is so cute. If the dino might be something strong and cute then I choose the right one because of the idea from a spinosaurus. But the left one is an easy and a typical Pokèmon vision.

I highly prefer the left. The head shape on the right doesn't fit the Pokemon style in my opinion, and I like the leaf on the head of the left one more than the green spine on the right

I think the one on the right needs to have an open mouth, looks a little odd. Show some teeth at least. I think the one on the left looks a little too generic.

I prefer Left hands down. I can't get my head to stop thinking that the right looks like a odd kissy face at the end of it's muzzle.

Why not both?
I always find it difficult to know which starter to choose until I know what they're going to evolve into. The final form is a huge factor in my decision.
