Description
My fourth custom controller. The paint job is made to resemble Shepard's original N7 armor in Mass Effect 2; which was the armor Shepard was wearing when he/she died.I wanted it to feel pretty beat up, while still looking sharp and appealing, so I carved scratches, cracks, and abrasions into the shell of the controller before painting it. Then a... temperature mishap created those 'ice' formations across the back, lol.
And lastly, I installed blue LEDs.

You just take a controller apart, paint the shell, and solder up the circuit board. There're tutorials online.

Yeah. I used adhesion promoter and clear protectant. It's like painting a car.

Ridiculously pissed that I didn't find this before the auction ended. I definitely would have put a lot of money down to get this. Despite this, the paint job is ludicrously well done (I've got two other painted controllers done with automotive paint by my friend's dad and they can't compare to this) and if you consider making another mass effect 1 or 2 themed controller to sell let me know because I will definitely be interested.
