Description
Today I put a lot of work into my Mando helm.These are the Work In Progress photos.
John "Kantis" suggested I take progress photos, since he always forgets to on his projects.
Much closer to the finished product. This is where I am at currently. A lot of the weathering was done by brush. The visor is still left out do to a need to smooth bondo the inside of the helmet.

that sucks about the cleaning, from the looks of it it looks like its made out of fiberglass and I know how frustrating that stuff can be. good luck on getting some time to work on it again.

Yeah, its fiberglass, and the inside is anything but smooth. I an considering just getting the padding that Fenixprops offers on Ebay.

I checked that out, it seems like it would help you with your problem but I would make sure that it wouldn't make it to tight for your head.

Good plan. The padding is really a thin layer, so shouldn't be much of an issue.

thats good to hear, I did the padding on mine and it had to be quite thin to still allow my head to fit in, to thick and my nose was really squished against the visor.

I have a few helms that do squishing. I have to fit my glasses inside with me, which is always a pain.

ya, I have the same problem with my glasses, it can really be a pain in the butt when they wont fit.

One day I hope to get lasic. Until then, I just gotta cram in there.

What i figured out is that usually I can get them in the helmet and then my head, so what ive started to do is use an old pair of glasses and just secure them in to the helmet with magnets or tape.

It is a resin base. No putty or cardboard.

Awesome job! I have to agee, the marks and weathering were a good call. Madalorian armor never came across as shiny and new anyway
