Description

The Mucadean Fire Tree is said to hold the essence of the fire inside it. It is located deep within the heart of the Murcadean forest, and is said to be the source of a fire elementalist's magic. Acolytes travel to the tree every seven years to partake in a ritual known as "The Burning of the Blood".
During the ritual, each initiate is cut down the length of each arm and down the middle of the chest. The sap of the Mucadean Fire Tree was then applied to the wounds. At first, the sap burns horribly, but then it numbs and cauterizes the wounds. The initiates then go into an intense 12-hour hallucinogenic trance, where they are said to tap into the source of all fire elemental magic.
If the initiates are able to keep a calm mind and control their fears, they become fire elementalists.
