Description
I made this for Modeling for Game Design class.The Su- 37 is a russian aircraft and possibly one of the most agile and maneuverable aircraft on the planet. With its thrust vectoring, canards, and extremely agile shape gives the Su-37 unprecedented mobility. This fighter alone has claimed several world records in those areas. I wouldn't want to face one of these in battle X_X.

im sry... but what r u saying? the russian Su-47 is only a prototype.. so its not on the market and the F-35 isnt agile at all... Su-37 is probably the most agile of them all

hmm.. never heard the 37 got canceld.. the 47 yeah... but not the 37... even heard that russia is gonna get 130+ ( i think ) Su-35's ... and they r like only a lil downgraded 37

The 37 was all about experimental thrust-vectorin'. Cancelled. Even though it was a beast in the skies. The 47 is still in the works. It's even more badass, but no thrust-vectorin'.
The 35 is just the watered down version of the 37. I'd've upgraded to the 37 instead. 'cause it was obviously a better plane.

yeah.. i agree on the 37>35 but... didnt u get the 37 and 47 mixed up? the 47 has the swept forward wings..and it got canceld cuz of the cost when the ussr collapsed ... and they didnt continue the project now and went to develope the PAK FA

No. The 37 was cancelled, and really they weren't their own plane, just conversions of two 35s. The 37 is a tech. demonstrator for future Russian fighters. Haven't seen much new info on either planes.
The PAK FA is one of the 47s "future Russian fighter" branch-offs.

F-22 can be detected if he carries missiles and stealth won't help

But then they can hold 6 missiles in those belly bays. Two are enough to fire off a quick salvo and wipe out an opposing squadron. That is dangerous.

yes, and its all advantage they get , F-22 was design for stealth and su-37 for dogfight if su-37 gets close to F-22 it would be equal fight ,pilot versus pilot

I think the weaker version is in LockOn. Heh, from some vids I saw that the Su-27 is superior to the F-15 though that was in a close dogfight where the Su-27's extreme agility comes into play.

I hear that if stealth wasn't taken into consideration this plane could actually beat an F-22 in a dogfight.

Yeah I hear that too. As long as the '37 could get in close without biting it from the long range missile system on the F/A-22, and as long as there is a decent pilot in the seat, the '37 could drop a '22... and cost said Air Force a ton of money!

True but stealth and range is working against it. Its a great looking fighter.

Stealt is overrated. The new generation radar allows Su-35\37 effectively track and engage stealth fighters. And since both planes have pretty similar missile range (~70km), they're on equal footing.

I heard that you can detect stealth but that would also add tons of clutter to a radar so you'd need computer systems smart enough to clean that clutter. Oh yeah. F-22s also cannot use their radars. They rely on AWACS for radar so if the AWACS are down... well... they'd have to resort to active radar I suppose.

Well, I've heard, that the new Su-35BM has very poweful computer system, which handles it's weapon system, radar and 3-d thrust vectoring system. It must be powerful enough.
As for the AWACS, there is A-50, though we have only a few of them. Also, 4 MiG-31s can act as AWACS, they have extremely powerful radars.

I meant the F-22 needs AWACS for radar cause if they use radar their stealth is blown. But yeah,I heard of the mig 31 thing.
