Description
Megatron is finally done. Started back in September 2006, but was close to done for over a year now. He's built to be able to transform, but this final version can't, as I probably wouldn't finish till 2011, lol. This color scheme is based off the Classics version originally, but with the purple changed to black. Since I planned it, the Henkei version came out, so I used that to add extra color detailings.I've done a bunch of renders to show off all the detailing, but I won't bombard my DA gallery with them all, so you can view them all here:

Also, check out the Fusion Cannon transformation here:

Not really. I got a bunch of commissions and personal projects lined up. But who knows, they could some how appear on one of my lists.

Hi. If you have the patience, you can learn. But it will take a while to do something at the level I am at, but as long as you are dedicated, you can achieve it. You'll need to pick a 3d program. It doesn't really matter what program you go with, as it is only a tool, like a pencil. I use Softimage. You can get a demo here:

There is also Max, which is very popular:

And Maya:

I suggest you to try Max or maya. There are alot of tutorials online to help you learn how to model in those two programs. Hope that helps.

This guy is pretty sweet!
Reminds me of this action figure my last roommate had, except it had goofy purple and green highlights. I like this guy more, lots more sinister without the big lime green wing things.

Hehe, its based of that same toy. But I just changed the colors around and gave it extra details.

Your modeling is fantastic and your shaders and lighting are spot on! Thank you for not posting the neon green and purple version of him! Is every bit modeled or are you utilizing normal maps at all?

Thank you for your comments. Everything is modeled, except for the black grills around his helmet, those are textures.
