I love the light in this one!
I am asking because I have one of the best 50mm metal lenses ever built by Pentax in the 80s with the aperture of 1.4 but it is fully manual and it is quite risky on film when I get some mean low light conditions to shoot.

I haven't tried it with aperture priority actually, but it seems to work fine on my digital camera. I just have to set it to the smallest aperture setting - f16 - and then i can change the aperture with the button on the actual camera. The only annoying part is there's no auto-focus, and I do find it difficult to focus manually with this lens, but only when it's on the digital camera

I used to always use manual focus, and I still do sometimes, but I take a lot of photos in pretty dark conditions and that's when I have problems with manual focus - I can't see sharply enough in the dark. I always forget to bring my glasses too >.< So yeah, auto-focus helps. But it's manual with the 50mm lens, and with any other camera I have that's not digital.
