So I was digging through my art and found this little bit of nonsense right here. I was actually drawing it as a follow up to Conrad's little walk through the ages but then never finished it.Then I found it and slapped some colors on it to pretend it was finished so I wouldn't feel obligated to fully color it anymore and called it a day (just kidding I'm still comicking haha).
Just thought I'd share!! Sorry it's so old and crappy I kind of really hate parts but I'm okay with parts but I remember putting effort into it and I didn't want it to COMPLETELY rot on my harddrive.
Forever.
Until the memory ghosts took it awayahhhhhhhhhh.

I just... I keep scrolling up to look at this....
I find it interesting that the text says He's still exactly the same... when that's not the case. I love HinaBN, and I've been intrigued about his past... but this picture:
To me it looks like he never fully recovered from what may have happened to him. You can tell by little clues, his much paler skin (though you said that was from staying in from the sun...I don't believe you.) The small circles around his eyes present in the last three pictures... How his hair in 3 isn't curly and more... wonky, and it's the same in 5.
Also, I find it interesting there are X scuff marks on the bottom of his shoes in 1 and 2, and he has an X scar on his foot in 4.... There are so many mysteries about him I'd love to have explained. I guess I'll wait patiently with all the other fans.

Well, the pale skin isn't necessarily a sign of trauma. Red heads tend to have really pale skin naturally, but the rest of it, yeah.

This picture is really intriguing! I love how the colors change, and how you can even make the /words/ beautiful and mysterious in their own way. The 'trust me' on the bottom is perfect, haha. I would totally hang this on my wall.

Finally looking at this, I'm just wondering... Is there a significance to the colours present on the characters? The red for little!Hanna and the blue for badtiem!Hanna, I mean. It strikes me as sort of a case of Red Oni Blue Oni (thank you TVTropes [link] )...
I might be looking into colour symbolism a bit too much, though--I'm largely doing this after seeing a lot of it on this season of Doctor Who. P:

i wish i knew more about Hanna. i really like him, he's one of the best characters ever! and he reminds me a lot of my best friend who is basically a sister to me, so extra points for him.

This work is really the absolute best example of your whole style. Fluid, cartoon-ish but well drawn, bursting with life and energy and very expressive movements (and word choices), but you also can pack a lot of power into your work, even (especially?) the really dark sort. Two completely different things fused into one...

Also I think I remember reading somewhere that Hanna's first encounter with ghosts took place when he was 16, during which his parents probably died. Maybe that bit with the hospital gown is directly after the incident(third picture) where he decides to become an Occult Detective to prevent similar things from happening to others.
