So I was digging through my art and found this little bit of nonsense right here. I was actually drawing it as a follow up to Conrad's little walk through the ages but then never finished it.Then I found it and slapped some colors on it to pretend it was finished so I wouldn't feel obligated to fully color it anymore and called it a day (just kidding I'm still comicking haha).
Just thought I'd share!! Sorry it's so old and crappy I kind of really hate parts but I'm okay with parts but I remember putting effort into it and I didn't want it to COMPLETELY rot on my harddrive.
Forever.

livingsoul totally stole what I was going to say, but I'll reiterate it anyway cause I HAVE to say SOMETHING.
I love how utterly adorable little Hanna is, he reminds me a lot of this little kid I used to babvsit when I was younger.
The third and fourth Hanna's make me want to hug him tight and tell him a funny story so he won't be so sad.
And then there's the Hanna we all know and love and he gets a super hyper happy glomp for being totally bloody AWESOME.

Dude. Now I'm really curious about the third and fourth images. I can only assume that's when he got all those weird marks on his body, and maybe when he was introduced to supernatural-stuff. And while current!Hanna does look very similar to pre-trauma!Hanna, there's definitely something different. It's in his eyes and how his colors aren't as bright as before. Something big happened, and I can only hope we get to find out about it in the comic!

Man, I stared at this ten minutes, just speculating. D:
Whatever happened to him... it stopped him from taking care of himself (and being out in the sun a bit, since his freckles are gone). Parents were mentioned, which makes sense.
By the fourth age, he's under someone's care again, as his hair and clothes are cleaner, but the fact that he's barefoot confuses me (the scar on the sole is interesting), and makes me think that he spend most of his time indoors. He's just too clean. And paired with the traumatized look on his face, I'm kind of afraid that he got put in an asylum or orphanage (the not-nice kind).
His current state seems like a sort of state of stable recovery. The red in his hair is coming back, etc. He's become something of his own-- not the warm reds of his childhood or the cool blues of his adolescence.
Stopping now. D: That was kind of too much fun. Sorry Tessa!

Thanks for finishing it - so many of us are TOTALLY CURIOUS about Hanna's past because of recent revelations (by which I mean the GIGANTIC EFFING SCAR, you know) and this is like...one delicious potato chip that only leaves you hungry for MOAR CHIPS. :E

Seeing that grin on his face makes me speculate as to whether Hanna has Williams Syndrome - characterized by a wide forehead, wide smile, often with spaced teeth, an unusually gregarious personality, and "elfin" facial characteristics.
...probably not, but still! Fun to wonder.
Very nice progression here, love the change in hue and saturation, you communicate emotion through colors just beautifully.
