Um. I meant to have page six with this but page six isn't inked yet, and I'm trying to get my christmas presents all wrapped up, and work on my website and other many things. So I'm not sure when I'm exactly going to get around to that. Soon I hope.I've also been sick lately. Easily headachy and nauseous. I think it has to do with my old eye glasses or something. Since I use my damn blinded eyes too damn much. Why do I have to be soooooo blind? Without them I can't see things that aren't an inch to my face. All artists should have 20/20 vision, but most of them have really bad vision. What's up with that?
Anyways. That has nothing to do with anything. Here's page 5. Enjoy!

I've had eye trouble, and it's JUST NOT FAIR. People who *need* good eyesight never have it, and yet drug-dealers are roaming the streets WITH PERFECT VISION. Argh.

I wear glasses, too, so don't feel bad.
I really like this. It seems to make Wade flesh out more. That makes me admire and love the character all that much more, too.
But I fear Sheard's retort to his comment about "you know I'm not into that stuff". It just makes me cringe.
I can't wait to see the next page. This really makes me want to reach out and see Wade for who he really is. To me, he's much more than just lines on paper ... mingled with well-placed text. He's a person. With problems, and friends, and few happy times. I really like him.
His smile is sincere, but it also seems insecure or fearful ... as if he's afraid to show his emotions around Sheard. As if Sheard will tear him down. Poor Wade.
Anyway... the pure black and white really gives this a raw feeling. A feeling of it just being there, with no flair and no lace and no cover-ups. It's just bare and naked art. Emotions in black and white. Pain, suffering, and even happiness in black and white. I really like it that you took out the tones, Vert. Really.
Even though I like Joe and Sheard ... Wade will always be my favourite. I'll have the money for that commission soon, Vert. Very soon.

Aww I love those inter-connected reminenscent scenes. They're so cool. Damn how I love the way you develop your characters. There's always so much emotion and it really adds that next demension and realism to your comic and work in general. *sighs* You really out do yourself missy. Or maybe you just do yourself justice ^^

The artwork is bold and amazing. You got great paneling going on there too.
Having poor eyesight really sucks. I once placed my wireframe glasses on a patterned bedspread and was groping around for it for ages after... But I don't have problems like nausea or anything. Maybe you should see a specialist and find out what's it about. Perhaps it'll be better if you do something about it?

hehe, I have bad eyesight, too. My optometrist-person tells me that I only have minor nearsidedness, but I feel very blind whenever I take off my glasses or contacts.

I've on my watch list for a few months, and u keep amazing me every time!
one thing i notice about your work that not many people seem to mention is ure incredible grasp of storytelling. Either you spend a good amount of time planning out the panel layout on each page or u just got the knack for it. Either way, your panelling and pacing is really well done.
Of course, your style is excellent too! I keep doubting that you are really 16 years old, but the other day I found a lot of my work from when I was 16, and DAMN WAS I GOOD! Dont stop like I did, okay? Keep it up u got a lot of skill!
Sidenote - I thought I was the only person with bad eyesight (I'm -8 in one eye, -8.5 in the other) but after reading these comments I guess not!! Maybe it just shows we are actually putting our eyes to good use...

Hmm, my weak vision is due to genetics, and also the fact that when I'm drawing I STOP BLINKING so that I don't miss any details. Really, it's weird. I noticed that when I'm drawing my eyes like, freeze open. So they get all dry and itchy and ugh, it's just bad.

i really like these
about the bad eyesight thing: most artists/writers have bad eyesight because we started drawing, reading, writing at an early age, and eyes that are that young dont take well to focusing on things close to our faces that early, it puts alot of strain on them. i started reading when i was 4, i got glasses when i was 6..hehe
and of course it may be genetic
