I think every artist can relate to when you are in a rut and anything you draw you are not particularily fond of. Yeeeup. Well, anyways, this is Bradley Traux, in a subway. Tried some new things to see how it would turn out and at the very least I learned something new. X3 When I was in New Orleans I saw some of the FATTEST pigeons in the whole wide world. Just...FYI.
Used some references in this wonderful book called Subway Style by Andrew Garn.

I simply enjoy watching how the colors fit together, and I would like to cut off my polish tongue because my english is not good enough for describing things. And I always wanted to tell you that I love how Bradley's eyes are hide behind glasses. ANd this style i surely something different in whole gallery of yours, my sweet jelly. And he's one of my favourite guy in KtC <3 (But Joe is still number one, I must send you photos when I'm dressed up like him xD I even gonna make a magic trick to make one of my teeth disppear <3)

This song, mostly listened to Death Cab for Cutie, which is what 'President of What' is from. Unfortunately, didn't actually hear that song while drawing it up because it's in my car and I was too lazy to go get it. 9_9;;

The opposing sharp angles really make this piece stand out with a great sense of colour theory to direct the eye; really different with a great style.

When I was in New York City I saw my first pidgeon..me, all of 9 years old and I tried to run up to it and take a picture.
This is cool though, I don't recall ever seeing you do vector. It has a pretty nice effect. Brad looks a little older...He's one of my favorite characters of yours, btw... : D

I really like the radiance in the piece! nice balance of cool and warm tones. the title of the piece reminds me of the deathcab song with the same name.

For some reason, this reminds me of a book I read when I was a bitty child about a boy named Artemis (if my memory serves me right), and he lived in the subway station, and wore one-lensed glasses.
Than tangent aside (gosh, what a clever segue, ne?), I absolutely love this. For whatever reason, I like his lips. I'm very picky about lips, because people seem to not be able to draw them properly, but you did an amazing job. Bravo!
And stick around a while, won't you? DevArt has been terribly dull lately, because so many good artists have up and left. Hmpf!

FAT pigeons! =O I'd go for pigeons over seagulls any day. Just a bunch of big ol' fat things that make no noise instead of those noisy critters. I love the crazy perspective and the gradient. That's just a rockin' there. Along with the swirlies, but swirlies are in a class of their own where you just kinda assume they rock without mention.

Fat pigeons. Nothing could quite possibly be as wonderful as that. Except for your coloring. The gradient style of coloring is marvelous. I really like how the shadows are in the forefront of the picture, instead of being in the back, like an afterthought. And how everything in the back is highlighted with color.
