This costume is an original armored design I created based off of The Scarlet Witch. I spent about 2 weeks on this design and went through several iterations because I painted a final version.
The costume in total took me about 4 months to make from start to finish. (This was with me working about one day a weekend and on the evenings after work for a few hours).
The armor was made all with Worbla and an extensive smoothing process which consisted of wood filler, gesso, and primer. (I sanded between each layer, and the gesso and primer were both layered twice).
The thigh high boots, leotard, gloves, and cape were all custom made patterns for this costume. All of the gems were cast in a light pink dyed resin and the LED's were put into the resin while it was curing. All of the gems light up and are running off of 3V coin batteries hidden underneath the armor pieces.
The corset is all worbla, and consists of both back lacing and a zipper in front that is hidden behind a plate that snaps over it. It needed to open in 2 areas so I could take it on and off.
If you guys have any questions about my process please let me know! I am currently in the works of a more extensive explanation for my websiteRelated content

Awesome result, and a ring in finger found yourself a Vision?
Oh by the way, do you have any info on wood filler that could prove useful later, I'm going to use it for the first time soon, please.

Sorry I ma just getting back to this! Wiht wood filler it was alot of trial and error. I would suggest just putting on a good layer and then let it dry before sanding and applying the other.

Alicia, saw the photo of you that Collider posted walking the halls at SDCC 2014.Β Searched dA to find you. You look fabulous; the costume is grand, but you sell the look better than many cosplayers I've seen to date.Β You certainly look as I'd expect her to.

What a beautiful Wanda! The construction of this is simply astounding.Β I'm not familiar with Worbla- why did you need the smoothing process?
In any case, I look forward to seeing more of your work.Β Congratulations on the Daily Deviation!

Thank you again!Β
The smoothing process on Worbla is important because it has a natural oatmeal texture to it if not smoother properly.Β www.facebook.com/coregeekcc?frβ¦ is the person that helped me with that, he is also a very talented prop builder.Β
Thank you again for your kind words and good luck on your cosplay!
