years later he suddenly comes back only to find that Cream has taken over the world...

I feel like its probably a bit late to contribute to the sonic x fandom specifically but whatever there's always sonic fans everywhere. if you haven't seen sonic X then definitely go watch it! (the Japanese version not the 4-kids dub they left important stuff out)
THERE ARE NO OC'S IN THIS COMIC just redesigns of characters cause they're older.

"[As the original Sonic, after the battle with Evil Tails, meets Cream's Evil self.]
Evil Cream: I knew they'd pull you over, eventually. You don't belong here.
Sonic: My obligations don't end at the borders of my dimension.
Evil Cream: I am this world's savior. I protect it.
Sonic: [Referring to both Evil Cream's control of Earth and their attack on Station Square.] That's what's happening out there? Protection?
Evil Cream: Unsupportive jerks will be punished.
Sonic: Jerks? We're not gods, we don't decide who lives and who dies.
Evil Cream: [Angry] The decision is mine! It became mine when Eggman turned me into a weapon of mass destruction!
Sonic: I know what you lost.
Evil Cream: And you judge me!?[Approaches Sonic] After I've killed you, I'll bring my mama here. When she sees how I perfected this world, she'll-
Sonic: [Firmly] She'll be afraid and disgusted!
Evil Cream: She'll be alive!
Sonic: Vanilla’s death doesn't justify-
Evil Cream: He stole her from me!
Sonic: And you stole this planet's freedom! [Prepares to fight] It's time to give it back! [They fight, Sonic wins] Your reign is over. [Evil Cream uses Eggman's Blaster against Sonic, but he blocks it and responds with his own Heat Vision, then he dashes and tackles Evil Cream against the wall, punches her, throws her on the floor and finishes her with one last powerful punch] You won't terrorize these people any longer.
Evil Cream: Fear is the only thing these people understand... One day... you'll learn. [She faints. After a few moments, Silver comes along with Blaze, Insurgency Amy, Vanilla's Spirit and Insurgency Rouge. They, along with Superman, surround Evil Cream, Evil Cheese and Evil Tails and they goes onto their knees. Then they looks at Amy and Rouge.] You'll have to kill us.
Insurgency Rouge: No. Not even you. There's been enough killing.
Vanilla’s Spirit: I'm very disappointed in you, both. [The evilness in Evil Tails, Evil Cream and Evil Cheese slowly fades away from them and look at Vanilla’s Spirit in guilt. Vanilla’s Spirit shakes her head.] You know better than to murder people. Even Eggman. [Evil Cream, Evil Cheese and Evil Tails, now good again, look down at the floor, in shame. They begin to cry, with tears streaming down their eyes. Vanilla’s Spirit sees the three former villains, crying.] Aww, my little angel. Don't cry.
Formerly Evil Cream: We're very sorry. [Hugs her mother's spirit.] We promise we won't do it again! [Continues crying.] How will we ever be forgiven?
Formerly Evil Cheese: Chao chao chao chao! [Hugs Vanilla’s Spirit.]
Formerly Evil Tails: [Reflecting on his past.] Sometimes you gotta take a look at yourself! For what it's like! To be the bad guy! To be awful! After Eggman took someone from you!
Formerly Evil Cream: Can you please forgive us? [Rubs a tear from her eye.]
Vanilla’s Spirit: I forgive you, both. [Hugs her formerly evil daughter.] I forgive you, so very much. But now you need to let go... And just remember... you... are special... [Vanilla’s Spirit fades away.]
Sonic: [Sighs.]"
How do you like my idea? How about Sonic fighting Evil Tails, Evil Cream and Evil Cheese, after he finds out that they've taken over the world? Then, their evilness will disappear after he beats them, and they will realize the trouble they've caused.
