Here's the promised speedpainting tutorial!
I'm sorry it's so big, but I honestly suck at Flash and this is the best I could do. I hope that you'll find it helpful!
you'll find all of the brushes I use here: [link]
And here you can find a selection of other quality brushes: [link] and tutorials: [link]

You are the person that made me better and better. I bought my first digital tablet as of March 6th 2012. I really struggled in the beginning. So this guide has been precious to me. I studied this tutorial for hours on count several days in a row(Back then i had a different account here on DA). I also downloaded it and studied it offline, trying to become better at art. When i felt that i understood the basics of this i studied other artworks that i loved and tried to do my own thing in the end. Thank you very much for this wonderful tutorial. Here is a before and after image of my progress:

Thanks for sharing this β it inspired me to try out a speedpainting. Yet I was always half-satisfied with Photoshop β but I think I will try it out again ^^.

Are the brushes under a common name? Usually after downloading you set it up under the brushes folder in the photoshop folder, and it should be there to load after you open the program. It won't be there automatically though, you have to go under brushes, then load brushes, and find the file again.
Hope this helps!

Many thanks for this tutorial.
This whole "speed painting" thing never made much sense to me, because every time I see somebody say they "speed painted' something it looks like a masterpiece. People seem to be able to do more in half an hour of painting than I can do in five hours.

Thank you so much for taking the time to make this! It really helped in terms of technique and, even more, to have fun painting! I've been feeling discouraged and bogged down lately, so this was very nice!

If I may add one suggestion to this, putting color balance or any adjustment tool into a "New Adjustment Layer" will allow you to affect all the layers beneath it, not just the active one.Β
You did an awesome job with this!

I thought that maybe you could've added more detail to the stones on the ground ifΒ
you were going to goΒ
full on with the realistic-ness of this painting but that's about the only thing
I've seen to critique this awesome painting on Β

great breakdown of speedpainting; made it clearer how to approach details (gradually). also seems like with this technique (the right brush for the job) I can try to follow Bob Ross digitally :}

This is very inspiring and helpful, but I can't find the 4+ brushes you used in the pack you linked.
