Introduction:
An empty classroom awaits the Literature students. Settling into seats of their own choosing, a pair of green eyes watch them, perfectly still.

Adept at the old magics, the Sphinx simply chooses not yet to be seen. It's not a matter of invisibility or stealth. She just informed the universe she wasn't important enough to be paid attention too, like the shadow of a desk, or the drone of elevator music. There, but not something to bother in more then a cursory glance.

This makes for a somewhat grand entrance, just the way she liked it. As soon as the students started to wonder if she would be late, she would strike a match in their mind, that a near seven-foot lion was in the room, dangling lazily over the teacher's desk.

"Hello, loves." she purrs to a chorus of gasps and jumps that scrap chairs on linoleum. "Welcome to Literature. I'm sure you've ... heard of me. Yes... yes, that Sphinx." she preens, pridefully. "I have my own story, and hope that you will enjoy ... mmm... the many, many that have been written throughout history, perhaps.... write your own. I support mature and lengthy discussions of all topics. Questions are wonderful, and informed opinions are even better."

She takes the time to stretch each length of her spine, and sit up lazily, a cat after a sunbath. "And I do expect you to read and talk. I can't .... wait... to share the ... experiences a story has to offer and trust me when I say... they will be ... quite real to you."

She ends her introduction with a mysterious little smile that is hiding volumes.

Age: "After the first 4,000 I stopped counting. Really. It's tiresome."

Height: Dependent on if she is standing or one all fours- slightly smaller then your average lion at 7 feet, though the size is dependent on the space she feels like taking up.

Tattoos/Scars: Some exist, but... none so outwardly seen above the fur.

Likes: Riddles. A good mystery. Literature, a good book, fame, fortune, being praised, luxury, being pampered, gossip, warm sunny spots (usually on the carpet), fireplaces, the library, gold and jewelry, hunting on occasion.

Dislikes: Those who don't know history, people whom ruin a good story. Swimming, being wet, rain. Being wrong.

Fears: Being forgotten, larger men.

Clothing Style: Gold and glitter. Usually a Egyptian style- those were her glory days.

Relationship Status: Single. Noncommittal. Takes relationships lightly, but is a romantic.

Personality: Mysterious. Very... cat-like. She demands attention, but doesn't like to be pinned down, likes to be pampered and doesn't mind being the center of attention. She loves to pose riddles, and being an enigma. She has many secrets she does not share, such as how she has lived such a long, long life.

History: She is a shapeshifter that took advantage of the Egyptian believes in half-bestial gods. Developing a form she was comfortable in, she turned herself into the very first Sphinx. THE Sphinx. And allowed them to praise/pamper her. So much so she began to see this as her ONLY form.

Years pass, she learns magics, and mysteries that the has slipped from the minds of the world, only known in only tomes and the stars in the sky.

Her glory days past her, she finally took up a job at IA for the pay- being a teacher gives her the outlet to be the center of attention, and mold young minds into praising her again.
