The royal Maestro to King Triton's orchestra, and unintentional guardian of Ariel. Sebastian is less than supportive of Ariel's interest in the surface world, mainly due to him knowing how her father would react, and when she falls in love with the human Prince Eric, he attempts to dissuade her back to life under the sea...to no avail. After accidentally ratting her out to Triton, Sebastian accompanies Ariel to Eric's castle, begrudgingly helping her win his heart, and even using his musical skills to do so. Being of small size and considered a delicacy among humans, Sebastian is VERY afraid of the surface world, and no more is that apparent than when he comes to blows with a seafood chef in the castle.

Sebastian appears in the Kingdom Hearts series as part of Atlantica. He teaches Sora and friends how to swim in their new marine bodies, and even assists in fighting Ursula. Sebstian would also be in charge of some of the musical events that Sora later takes part in.
