Description
This is the design for Cancer. I went around and around with this piece trying to get the moonstone in the center too look acceptable. I probably had 5 different versions of that stone and even almost changed to a simple pearl at one point out of frustration. Finally the current one clicked and I was satisfied. I knew what I wanted for the outer design so I knew the center stone had to look good so I'd have a good base for the outer stones. If you're curious, you can see the original idea for the stone in this WIP submission. [link] It's the 3rd design from the left in the middle row.

The center is a moonstone surrounded by layers of gray, pearl-ish toned weaves, and silver filigree leaves and vines. The alchemical symbol for water, the symbol for Cancer, and the Cancer constellation are all featured in the different layers.

This design took around 3 days to complete in Flash, not including the time I fought with the stone.

The final two designs will be uploaded over the next couple of days (so I don't flood your message boxes). I've still got a compilation piece to do, as well, so keep your eyes peeled.
