Description
The semi-final piece in the zodiac series, Virgo. The center is a peridot stone surrounded by layers of sandy brown, light green weaves, and copper filigree leaves and vines. The alchemical symbol for earth, the symbol for Virgo, and the Virgo constellation are all featured in the different layers.This design took around 3 days to complete in Flash.
The final piece for the series will be uploaded tomorrow.

in flash?....you do these in flash?...that's wild. ( did i know that and forget? )
That's not he easiest proggy to draw in.
I like the highlights here that make it look ceramic-y and rasied. And as usual ..you get and A+ for being tight!

Yep, all done in Flash. I use some PhotoShop for the mixed media images, but all the primary work is done in Flash.
I've never actually had the chance to work in Illustrator so I don't really have a basis for comparison in the vector end, but I love the fact that I can pull lines into the positions and curves that I want. It really feels intuitive to me.
I'm pleased you like the image, and that the highlights had the desired effect.
