your fractals are not at all like others. the colors and shapes you use, totally different from spiraling bright colored fractals. sometimes they look like paintings or photographs. i really like them!

Thanks so much for the kind words, Merpa. I'm happy to hear that you like my images!

Yes, many of my images are atypical of what most folks think when "fractal art" is mentioned. And it's likely that some fractal artists don't see my images as fitting the definition of fractal art. It's one of the reasons that I dislike the need to categorize images. Since I use a fractal-generating program to create them, the Fractal Art category on dA might be the most appropriate, but categories can never truly define the art. >

blah blah blah, that's me, too! and anyway, i don't think what people have to say, if it's of substance, is almost always worth listening to/reading.

they are very different and i don't think i would have realized they were fractals if they weren't labeled that way. and you're right, that's the thing--as soon as i see the categorization all sorts of conclusions come to mind. but when i'm just looking at the image, it makes me think of entirely different things.

i hate trying to categorize my work. i do so many different things with so many different mediums, it's hopeless! i just call everything abstract. lol!

you've transcended the categories to people who care to think, and aren't those (and yourself!) the ones who are worth displaying your art to?

This sort of reminds me of the elegant curves of a woman's body. Nice

Yes. Quite sensual. But, I am reminded of body parts a bit farther south than the shoulders.
