(Please full-view! The thumbnail doesn't do it justice. Yarr.)So, I've been playing Jak and Daxter lately. So, I'm becoming obsessed with it. This picture PROVES it - I can't even remember the last time I did fanart!
One wonders why Jak is clutching that common-as-dirt Precursor orb like it's his only child. And it's quite challenging to draw Daxter so he looks annoying instead of cuddly.
Sketched in OC, inked in OC over a matter of days, base colored in OC. A few strokes of Dodge, a border and a bit of text added in Paint Shop Pro.
I'm buying Jak II as soon as I can afford it. @@ Curse a college students' budget!

What I did was flat-color the sketch, then shade it using no greys. It looked nice that way, but Jak looked too ticked to be colored so brightly, so I then covered the entire picture in a new layer of black, at an opacity of about 50%. Then I just erased the parts I wanted to be lighter, and left the black where I wanted it to be darker. VOILA! ANGST~!!1one

*big thumbs up* Jak looks really amazing in this! The shading and the bg are great. One thing though, it kinda looks like Jak has a grampa moustache o_0; I dunno if that was intended or not....but otherwise this is totally amazing. Nicely done ^.^

Hm.. I really like how you gave him (jak) a more rugged appearance than he has in the first game. you know, the very dynamic expression, running and even the tatters in his pants. And the moon really stands out. I like it. *pokes it* Great job, it's been a while since I've seen fanart of Jak from J&D and not Jak II.
