Description
Well here is my very first modeled object and render using Modo 701. This insect looking drone thing was a result of the Digital-Tutors video lesson. Not much effort went into the texturing of this as I just wanted to make each part of the object a different color/texture. Personally I think this look ridiculous but hey, got to start somewhere.ΒI learned a lot but still have WAYS to go before I can produce anything good. But at least now I have a starting reference point for any future creations. The background is a simple IBL and one spot light which I have no idea if it's doing anything or not.

A special toothbrush is on the list of "Things to Make". I had trouble just making this drone thing. Following the video did not always go so well.

My goal is to make animation like in the "Take Back Earth" trailer for ME3. It's a high goal I know, but something to shoot for.
I think I've seen a tutorial on taking the models from the game and importing them into Blender. But then I think you have to rig them (meaning, give the model a skeletal structure so you can pose it).

That is truly a high goal but imagine all the amazing mass effect (porn) stuff u r able to do.
Ah don't ask me anything about blender I have no idea. XD What I know is that u can import the finished scene into blender.

If it gets to that point, I better get a bigger hard drive
I can spell "Blender", and open the program. But that's about it.
