Description
It was little Celegorm's idea that Cousin Fingon's music lesson should take place in a tree. It's possibly not the least distracting place to have a music lesson. Fingon and Maglor are playing Anglo-saxon style harps (hearpe) which are much more practical for climbing trees (or Thangorodrim) with than a modern harp would be.Related content

They are technically classified as lyres, rather than harps, but given that the anglo-saxons called them hearpe... musical instruments are just plain confusing sometimes. I'd certainly rather take a lyre up a tree, or to Thangorodrim, than a celtic harp, a paraguayan harp, or worst of all, a pedal harp.

A pedal harp would definitely be a struggle to get up a mountain!
