Very clever way to learn how to shade in black and white/gray, I have huge problem with this.
Is it possible to use an ordonary pencil and eraser to make it this smooth? there are not that many stores that sell these things in my town.

I usually don't desaturate the picture...
btw do you use the 'tiny little circles technique' for the whole drawing or only for the background/big black areas?

for the whole drawing... it gives a better definition and deph but add like 20 more hours of work to finnish it... hahahaha... The results are better too when I scan the artwork.
