Spyro’s a series I’ve been interested in for a long time, and wanted to play for ages. Finally got to enjoy the Reignited Trilogy years ago, and the games were every bit as good as I hoped! Fun to play, entertaining and very cute characters, great visuals and music – I loved them! Spyro’s easily my favorite character; there’s just something so endearing about that cocky, excitable personality, and all the stuff he gets up to in the credits definitely helps. As it is, I can’t believe there’s so relatively little of him hypnotized; he’s an adorable dragon, been around for ages, not even remotely obscure, and fun fact, he’s actually been hypnotized before (at least I assume that’s why he’s on N. Trance’s team in Crash Nitro Kart’s GBA version).

And now, he’s all Kaa’s~

“Man, this is dull,” Syro sighed as he walked through the grass. “I’m telling you Sparx, there’s nothing to do around here anymore!”

Sparx buzzed in agreement. It had been a few months since the Sorceress’s defeat, and so far, there weren’t any new threats. Spyro had tracked down every egg, the dragons had their kids back, and overall, things were peaceful. The problem was, having their kids back meant a lot of elder dragons too busy raising their newborns for him and Spyro to hang out with them. The rest of their friends had their own things going on, too; Sheila was on vacation, Hunter and Bianca were busy with their love life, Sgt. Byrd with his army, and Bentley was off collecting rocks somewhere in the mountains. It was anyone’s guess where Agent 9 was, but knowing him, he was probably having the time of his life shooting his way through bad guys somewhere.

“I know! We can go visit Elora!” Spyro grinned. “She’s got to be done with those music lessons by now!”

Sparx buzzed in annoyance.

“Hey, she didn’t know you were in front of her bagpipes when she blew!” Spyro retorted. “…But yeah, she’s not great at it.”

Sparx nodded, and then got a mischievous look on his face as he buzzed again.

“Obviously, I really like her,” Spyro replied, raising an eyebrow. “I mean, she’s nice, fun to be with, and up for a little friendly competition. What’s not to like, apart from her music?”

Sparx smirked as he buzzed.

“Well yeah, she’s cute, she’s a faun. And I guess she’s pret-“ Spyro facepalmed. “Oh come on, I keep telling you and Hunter it’s not like that!”

Sparx gave a sing-song series of buzzes as he flew off in pursuit of a butterfly.

“We’re not kissing anywhere!” Spyro yelled. “Sheesh, what gets into that guy sometimes?”

“Sssssomething the matter, whelp?”

Spyro whirled around at the sound of the voice, and found himself face to face with a massive snake.

“Not really, just my friend being dumb,” Spyro chuckled. “Man, didn’t hear you coming at all.”

“Thanksssss! I’ve put a lot of work into that,” the snake smiled, holding out his tail. “I’m Kaa, and you?”

“I’m Spyro!” the dragon cheerfully replied, shaking the snake’s tail with his paw.

“Ah, sssso you’re the dragon I’ve heard sssso much about!” Kaa grinned. “I really have to thank you for dealing with Ripto… and that obnoxioussss bear.”

“No thanks needed. I was only doing my job,” Spyro smirked proudly. “And having a blast chasing down Moneybags. Let me guess, he tried to put you in a cage or blocked wherever you were trying to go until you paid him?”

“The firsssst one,” Kaa said flatly, before brightening up. “Ssssso, on a happier note, what are you up to? Off on another adventure?”

“I wish,” Spyro grumbled. “I mean, the peace is great and all, but it gets pretty boring when all your friends are busy.”

“My condolencsssesss,” Kaa chuckled. “If it helpsssss, I have a trick that might keep you entertained for ssssome time.”

“Really? What is it?” Spyro asked eagerly.

“It’ssss ssssimple, really,” Kaa smirked. “Jusssst look me in the eyessss…”

Spyro’s jaw dropped in awe, eyes wide as the snake’s swirled with the prettiest colors he’d seen in his life. They reminded him of gems, but no gem could ever shine this brightly, or be so fascinating to watch. Ring after ring held him rapt, every spiral sending shivers down his spine as he stared deeper and deeper, unable, unwilling to tear his eyes away.

“Pretty, aren’t they, whelp?” Kaa smiled. “It takessss ssssomeone truly impressssive to apprecssssiate my colorssss… and sssssomeone sssso impressive ssshould have no trouble following them! Jussst another fun challenge for a hero, hmmm?”

“Y-Yeah…” Spyro gave a shaky smirk as his pupils shrank to pinpricks. “B-bring it on!” Kaa bobbed his head, and Spyro bobbed his in return; the snake moved side to side, and Spyro mimicked the motions. Soon, Kaa was going above him, upside down, and every which way he could, the dragon eagerly following as his smirk melted into a smile. Kaa was right; this was fun! Everywhere he looked, there were pretty colors waiting for him, somehow relaxing and exciting all at once as they made him feel all warm and tingly inside. It was like when he’d followed that we- interesting egg-person’s watch, and learned how great it was to be submissive to his superior and race through a world of red and white spirals.

Wait… hadn’t Crash had to snap him-

“Here, boy,” Kaa chuckled. “The sssspiralssss are sssso much better up clossse.”

The dragon hurried to his hypnotist, the thought forgotten as he stumbled towards the snake. He had to see this.

Spyro pressed his snout to the snake’s, staring deep into the serpent’s eyes. Sure enough, they had only gotten better, Spyro breaking into a wide, silly grin as bright, shining colors swept his cares away. His head filled with fuzz as a rainbow sea washed over his every thought, his tail beginning to wag behind him. The snake backed away, swaying to and fro, and he had to follow, his hips swinging away as he marched up a stairway of coils. His eyes swirling with color, the dragon marched through loop after loop of the snake’s body, tongue lolling from his open mouth.

“Sssssit.” Kaa smirked.

Spyro immediately sat down, shuddering with bliss as the snake’s tail scratched behind his horn.

“That’sss a good boy… it’ssss amazing how well you’re able to follow commandsssss,” Kaa smiled, petting the delighted dragon.

The snake scooped up Spyro’s front legs in a coil, and their dance began. The panting dragon stumbled about on his hind legs, head rested on the coils as he looked up at the snake. Kaa lowered him into a dip, giving him a kiss on the lips as he rubbed the dragon’s belly with his tail. Spyro blushed, giggling happily as the snake lowered him onto his back. Kaa’s body sloped, and the dragon went down a spiraling slide, straight into a bed of coils. Spyro was swiftly wrapped, and then the real pleasure began. The coils compressed, the coils caressed, and Spyro was reduced to a moaning, panting mess. Eyes swirling with color, tongue lolling from a silly smile, tail wagging a mile a minute behind him; Spyro had never felt better, and he never wanted it to end.

The snake began to speak, every syllable soothing as it slipped into Spyro’s mind. “That’ssss a good boy… You’re jussst a big ssssscaly puppy, aren’t you? After all, fetching gemssss, jumping about assss you play with your friendsss, sssso eager for praissse and petsss… ssssoundssss like a pressciousss pup, doesssn’t it? And you love petssss, horn ssssscritchesss and belly rubssss sssso very much… and you love to obey. A good pup obeysssss hissss Masssster, loyal, and eager to follow commandsss… their life isss a carefree one, not a thought in their headssss but of their beloved Massster and hisss colorss. Their Masssster issss alwaysssss trussstworthy, and sssso, they never have to trouble themssselvesss with a ssssingle choicssse. Insssstead, they’re cherissshed in coilsss and colorssss, praisssed asss good petssss by their beloved Massster asss they carry out hisss will. Play, protection, conversssation, food – you’ll provide it all and more, won’t you, my presssciousss pet? After all, I am your Massssster…”

Spyro yipped eagerly, a bit of drool flying from his mouth . “I’m a good puppy! I want to fetch and play and obey! I don’t think or choose – Master does! I’m your precious pet, and I love you, Master!”

A tug on the neck, and with a gulp and a PING!, Spyro broke into the goofiest grin of his life.

Kaa chuckled as he saw the look on Spyro’s face; no matter how many he hypnotized, that never ceased to be entertaining. Now, to see if it worked…

“Sssspyro?” he called.

Spyro responded with something that sounded somewhere between a woof and a “Yeah?”

“Are you a good boy?”

Spyro happily barked, tail wagging behind him as he started to pant.

“Awwww~” Kaa cooed, as he nuzzled his scaly puppy, Spyro nuzzling right back. “Who’ssss a good boy?”

“I am I am I am!” Spyro yipped.

“That’ssss right~” Kaa grinned, loosening the coils as he pulled a gem over with his tail. “Now… fetch!”

Kaa threw the gem, and Spyro bounded after it, barking up a storm. Soon enough he’d grabbed it, and ran back to drop it in front of Kaa.

“Good boy!” Kaa cheered, petting the dragon with his tail as he bounded about. “You’re going to be sssso good at helping me hypnotize your friendssss, aren’t you? Ssso happy to lure them to me~”

“Yes, Master!” Spyro grinned.

“Wonderful!” Kaa grinned, leaning in to give Spyro a peck on the lips. “Now, ro-“

Spyro rapidly licked Kaa’s face, tongue slipping into the snake’s mouth as he showered him with kisses. The snake blinked in surprise, but rubbed his tongue across Spyro’s regardless. Snake and dragon moaned as their tongues brushed against each other in the deepest kiss of Spyro’s life. Eventually they broke apart for breath, Spyro panting blissfully as his tail wagged behind him, Kaa panting for breath.

“Well… that wassss unexpected…” Kaa managed to get out. “But hardly unpleasssant. Now, asss I wasss about to sssay… roll over, pet. Onto your back.”

Spyro immediately obeyed, looking up at his Master curiously.

“You’re ssssso adorable~!” Kaa cooed. Kaa couldn’t help but chuckle at the sight; the dragon was precious like this. He probably wouldn’t be changing all his pets’ minds this much, but he had to admit, Spyro made for an excellent puppy. They’d have so many games of fetch, walks together with his tail as a leash, and colorful nights cuddled together in coils. He’d probably put Spyro back to normal eventually, but for now?

“Who wantsss a belly rub~?” Kaa practically sang.

Spyro gleefully wriggled about as the snake’s tail rubbed and tickled his belly, tongue flopping around as his tail wagged beneath him. “I do I do I do I do!”
