Into the favorites, this goes!
Looks absolutely gorgeous. The traditional unicorn design really suits her and makes her elegance stand out well with that pose.
Though, I'm not sure how you managed to make it stand that way. Must have been a very hard wire to withstand its own weight. Plus the clay is flawless despite being white in colour. No thumbprints or dirt whatsoever.
I went through your gallery and I'm very amazed by your craftsmanship and skill. Your DD is well deserved.

I'm a bit late to the party, but that's lovely work! I've always liked fans' 'traditional unicorn' interpretations.

for inset and closeups I use tumblr photosets so i don't have to post a million times and irritate people :3
they're stripped antique pointback navettes, so they do stick out of her flank ^^

eeeeeeee I love it when people draw/make ponies mythologically accurate! It just makes me feel like everything is just "right". The canon MLP art style is great too, but I just think the mythologically accurate designs are always much more beautiful. >w<

0_0 <3 My goodness!!! That pose... Speechless... I'd want something like that under glass, and armored guard surveillance for protection of the slightest hint of dust to land on her! XD hehe Incredible art, just.. Wow.. I can't even begin to imagine the work that went into her. Therefore, I can only agree with seeing the not being reproduced heading. hehe Simply gorgeous and beautiful!! ^_^ Masterful work! I'd love to see her one day in person, but reading the comments seems like she is on a fair journey and I wish her the most safest travels and the owner many years of enjoyment!! ^_^

What is OOAK?
Ooak > Plain Oak
Or maybe the extra "O" stands for "ordinary"? heh.

I am both glad you said this and deeply wish you hadn't.
I did and did NOT need to know that the biggest phobia I've had since childhood has a NAME.
....And now I can't look at the fetlocks without thinking about it.

Yeah, those conflicting feelings are all too familiar to me as well. I hope you were able to look away from the screen easily enough when you googled it; I know I have a lot of trouble with that...

CallMeShaudo In reply to DeviantMetroid [2015-03-04 18:31:48 +0000 UTC]
You kind of get lost in it, right? I feel like there's something under the surface that's causing it and that it'll spread or something if I look away. Makes me wonder if this phobia stems from the smallest dangers in nature. Swarming insects, structurally degenerative disease, decay, stuff like that. Could just be me, though.

DeviantMetroid In reply to CallMeShaudo [2015-03-05 05:56:28 +0000 UTC]
Yep, exactly how I feel. Really gross, but fascinating in a grim, nauseating sort of way. I've looked into it and, yes, the phobia stems from instinctual wariness of swarming, carnivorous insects that build particular structures or consume food with distinct patterns; we have an amplified sensitivity to something most humans can brush off. Oddly enough, there is also a theoretical link to bees, specifically and the shape of the hives they make. Apparently humans used to have a near-mutualistic relationship with many species of bees and over time we learned to dread things crawling around inside tiny, clustered holes. It's the disease thing that makes me most uncomfortable, though. Mutagenic plague body horror is my go-to genre for disturbing media lol

I can see you have such great skill with sculpting.
But still, I don't understand why MLP is so popular...
(I'm not a bronie/brony and I'm trying not to be discriminative with this comment)

Conga-Heli In reply to Conga-Heli [2014-09-06 13:16:13 +0000 UTC]
Well I would like to apologize if I offended you to make that comment
If what I said was not clear perhaps this suites my comment to you better
I don't understand why MLP is VERY if not EXTREMELY popular to the male audience even though it's aimed at a different audicence completely.
But still, here is some text from en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/My_Lit…
"The series, based on Hasbro's My Little Pony line of toys and animated works, is intended for girls age two through 11"
This is why I don't understand why it is so popular to the male audience
If you are still proud about that comment you made to me don't apologize
EDIT: The main part of my comment was supposed to be a compliment NOT a insult in anyway.
But if you take what I said as a insult take it as a insult take as much offense to it as possible, because you know what? People like you that talk to people like before make me sick, for people to be arguing over something so trivial as this is a waste of our time.
But if you feel so impacted by me saying something I found harmless and had no spite on it that you just HAD reply like that you are clearly picking up every piece of my comment and growing away the nice ones so what it shows that you can't hold anything in you but hate to others who don't understand things you do.
I WILL BE WAITING FOR A APOLOGY until then I will continue believing you cannot keep happiness instead you have to hold anger, all I need to know that you are more open minded to others positive feedback is one word at the least and that is "sorry"
(PS: I don't see why you had to be rude about your comment, doesn't MLP teach tolerance? USE IT)
(PPS: don't reply if your going to be so rude/smug/snide about it by telling a complete stranger on the internet something that is supposed to make you look dominant or superior to them)
(PPPS: this is not meant to offend anyone, let's keep it that way)

VII is pretty busy, so I'll weigh in, I guess… being a "brony" and all. 👍: 0 ⏩: 1
It really doesn't matter who the show was "created" for, if others enjoy it. Sushi was originally created by Japanese, for Japanese consumption, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying it. Just as there are others who question my lust for the taste of raw fish, there will be others, like yourself, who question WHY someone for whom MLP was not originally created could possibly like it. Tom and Jerry was created to entertain children, so why do adults watch it? Same with pretty much every (successful) animated program out there… the ones created solely for little kids wither and die before too long.
When Faust
I have been an animation fan for most of my life (even after a certain corporate mouse screwed me and the rest of the Florida animation staff over), and this is a pretty solid formula for a successful series. Is it any surprise that a show designed by its creator to have broad appeal, in fact HAS broad appeal?
A better question to ask is "Why not?"
And by the way, I haven't seen much in the way of "tolerance" promoted by MLP. When a problem comes up, they don't "tolerate" it. They use the magic of friendship (and occasionally some sparkly accessories) to stomp it into the ground.

Thank you for posting a long meaningful comment I understand somemore things about why people like MLP, thanks to people like you that don't just instantly throw a tantrum or try to seem "better" than the other I now understand better why people like MLP.
I'm still on the more disliking side of MLP just because I've been through some (rather sparkly) sh%t because hardcore-MLP lovers.... Not that I hate all bronys or dispize the show I just will never understand why so many people like it
Oh well I guess where there is a spark there is destined to be a fire, I guess this fire became a wildfire...
Thanks for the meaningful comment and have a nice day, week or whatever!

Wherever there are fans, you will find zealots. There are Patriots fans who tailgate, and there are fans that show up to the game wearing nothing but body paint. And just as there are those who simply can't get into football, there will be those who don't "get" the appeal of MLP. Im not an evangelist for the show, but I make no effort to conceal my love for it. I find it impossible not to love something that inspires so many people to make so many beautiful things.
