I've been interested in the Wizard of Oz since I was about three years old, so I finally went and got Gregory Maguire's book Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West. This is the result

this is great! it's a lot of fun but at the same time it's funny it really makes me like HEAR them singing together on the recording and it almost... time to be sentimental... makes me tear up. poor elphie. poor glinda with a silent guh.

Ah! I LOVE WICKED! I tried to get an avatar that had Elphaba on it, but didn't have the patience to do so. Do you like the musical? I think the musical is one of my favorite Broadway musicals of all time. My favorite song is "Defying Gravity." Anyway... it's nice to know a fellow Wicked Fan!

Looks great! I've been an oz fan since I was 3 as well...I didn't want to read wicked in fear that it would spoile the movie for me but I read it last year and loved it. Over the summer I saw the musical in Chicago and I'm now a HUGE wicked fan! Love the drawing it's very pretty

I'm reading the book as of now. It's pretty good so far. I like this drawing! The way that they were drawn and the background just fits together nicely in this.

I love it... I LOVE IT! Seriously.... The details are wonderful, the colors are luffly, and the pose the two are in is simply delightful! I hope you enjoyed the book as much as I did... apparently so since you were inspired to draw this. I prefer the novel over the musical, personally... but, whatever floats your goat.

It would be a great animated feature! Well... the musical would. They are apparently doing a live action film of the musical. Pah. Film makers nowadays... they're not as creative or original as they used to be. An illustration project for Wicked would be quite enjoyable though! ^^ You should take it on! As a side thing or something!
And I can secretly make plans for a film based on the book rather than the show... *rubs hands together and looks around slyly*
