Hello, first of all, very nice picture 
I wanted to know if you would let me use this picture as a background for a visual novel I’m currently working on?
It’s not for commercial use, simply for a portfolio. Of course I would say I did not made the picture and would put your name on the credit.

This is one of those things where it seems so simple, but produces something so nice to look at. I really like the color palette that is believable, yet stylized enough to be distinct.

That is quite interesting. In general when I start to draw I often find myself limited with what I'd call “lack of imagination”. Letting yourself go alongside is something I admire very much. That I envy a little too, to be honest

Well, in my opinion, you shouldn't "think" too much when you start your work. That drawing period, when everything is rough and messy, is when you need to be completely relaxed and not focused at anything, especially not at background story, idea or details. At least that's how I do it, it may not work for everyone, but after I'm relaxed like that, having no idea what I'm doing, ideas start flowing in, and that's when I start focusing on adding details and solving all kinds of technical artistic problems (:

I think I won't thank you enough for hat you've just written. If I could frame your words of wisdom I would for they indeed sound very true. You're right being relaxed is key — now you've said that I remember having read it a few times. While you're busy thinking you're not letting your creativity go
