Description
forgot to upload it for some time.. a pretty basic tutorial for quite new users how to start painting in Photoshop in general. Covers issues like how to adjust and use a pencil sketch, what to paint with, some useful shortcuts, layer blending etc.just some general stuff, I plan to add some more soon

Thanks Hopefully I will try these techniques in an Ubuntu/Linux app and see how it goes with a newer direction I am taking (changing genres and media). Still have to deal with the learning curve.
Your work is really cool in not only in the subject matter, but also because it provokes more thought and creativity. I'm glad you shared what you have learned with us... we all benefit

read the very first sentence of the tutorial? It's the "colouring sketches in Photoshop" one, to be exact.

Honestly, did you read it at all? Why do you ask me about things that are written in the tutorial above? I mean I could get it if it was under a regular piece and I didn't share the info, but it's all written here, and you don't want to read it, just make me quote you all of it?
Just to make it clear, you can find this info in the "fun with brushes" and "digital painting" sections. But, I'm really sorry, you have to actually read it.

Awesome tut! Seriously! I've been using photoshop for a little while now, but I still haven't really figured anything out on it yet, so this was extreamly helpful.
Do you color under the line art?

thanks, glad you enjoyed it and yes, under the lineart (on multiply layer, if scanned, so the white is transparent).

Ok, neat. I'll have to try this. It seems like it would make my life easier since I don't own a tablet yet. I have to color with a mouse.

Wow, it's cool! Do you paint over or under the lineart? And do you use a separate layer for the colours?

Oh, how great! This is just the kind of coloring/shading I've been wanting to do for a sketch I've drawn, but I didn't know how to do it.
Let's just find a scanner now, and then I'll try it! ^_^

yes. if you're serious about drawing you should get one. they're not that expensive, even Wacom's cheapest line Bamboo will do very well. also - tablet doesn't make wonders or doesn't make anything realley except for being more comfortable than mouse. it's just a choice whether you want to have a constant pain in your wrist or have a handy tool, more versatile than mouse.
