Gem Weapon: None Known/Defective

Born in the Beta Kindergarden on Earth during the heights of the 1st Gem War, Cactus served under Jasper herself. Though she was treated with derision for the apparent fusion of her Gem Weapon into her permanent physical form, Cactus was able to fight and defeat hundreds of Crystal Gems, shattering them with her teeth and earning a high place of honor in the eyes of the Diamonds. Though she never summoned any other weapon, she has incredible powers like many other Era 1 Quartzes. Her apparent weapon fusion was the inspiration for Era 2 technological enhancements and she's considered one of the greatest fighters in the Empire.
A small sect of purists believe that the Beta defects, including Jasper, should be destroyed to preserve the legacy of the Gems. They have sent emissaries to Cactus trying to convince her to give up her form and allow herself to be harvested... all have been rejected angrily. Cactus is secretly considering defecting from Homeworld purely as a matter of self-preservation.
