Hey there. I think we need things to be clear. ^^ I'm not going to be rude, and I don't mean to offend anyone.
There is difference in the skills of a pro mmd user and a newbie mmd user. So you think, they are lazy because all they did was the posing. Right?
Ok, um, the modelers make their models not for them to just use and look at it, but also for others to use them, pose them, and...etc. Same for the stages. The posing can take some time too, you need to get the anatomy right, and things, you need to get used to moving the bones. Others "posing" isn't really lazy, you know. MMD is mostly about posing and making the pictures, or animating. MMD has A LOT of things you can do, but hey, you don't know much about MMD, its sort of hard for me to explain, but well. MMD was made mainly for posing, making pictures, and animating, the modelers model their models for other users to use THEIR work, it doesn't matter if someone can't make a model by scratch, I saw your comment about the "blender" artist, who made the scarlet sisters in blender, I know him, he doesn't give out his data, he is the only one using it. But mmd is different, its models are distributed so that EVERYONE can use it. ^^
Not all MMD users can model, but they do PMD editing, believe it or not, its really hard, it takes a lot of effort just like drawing does, even if its just models. I use MMD, but I can also draw. c:

Well, I have seen MMD animations myself, and some of them are really good in my opinion. I don't dislike the idea of MMD, but I don't approve of simply posing and declaring it as art.
But I understand your point, and I'll accept it if you say that posing takes effort, and about the purpose of MMD. Thank you for taking your time to clarify with me, I really appreciate it. ^^

I use MikuMikuDance/MMD as well as I draw. MMD is just as artistic as drawing is.

Hey, I saw how you said posing and all is easy, I have to admit it is quite easy, but sometimes you have to get the anatomy right and all, I'd say MMD helped me a lot with anatomy. However, what you said about us not being able to draw is not true. I'm able to draw, but I don't usually do it. My art probably isn't the best compared to =Namie-kun but at least I'm a lot better than some people.

Thanks for the clarification about MMD, but I still do think that the effort in modelling is nothing compared to those who made the models and stages, and using others' models to make an 'artwork' is simply not 'original artwork' to me.
By the way, if MMD had helped you with anatomy, why don't you show it with your drawings? I'm sure you will do well if you try, and be as every competent as other good artists ^^

Indeed, but that is what MMD is for. Not all people can model, so the model makers put their models for download so other people can use it and such, thats what most MMD is for, they use what others make. So you're kind of disapproving something that MMD is basically for. I like to use MMD because its creative and fun.

It's not an excuse, it's an example. Bases are nearly identical to models. People post them for download, and others use it to make their own 'art work'.

There are two different art styles (whether you like it or not, MMD is art. There are MMDs that got daily deviations and were exposed on frontpage). Not all persons are good at both MMD and drawing, or good at writing and arts&crafts, and if someone makes MMDs that doesn't mean he/she is bad at drawing.
Also, posing in MMD is not such a piece of cake.

3d is overgeneralising it. If you made the model and the stage, I'll have nothing to say. I've seen an artist who made a model of the Scarlets in Blender. That was splendid and I loved it.
My point is that those who "borrow' things from other artists save for the pose and effects are just plain lazy. Of course they can do something else, but the fact that they do such a thing shows that they aren't motivated to. ^^

If you wouldn't be an ignorant and actually check some MMDers, you would see that some of them not only make really good and detailed MMD work, but also are very skilled at drawing. Of course, some newcomer MMDers are not really skilled and their pictures look worse, but many of our work takes a lot of effort to do. The posing, the settings, the editing, the lightings and everything.
