Well I suppose that you probably do not live in as much of a heavily regulated suburban area as I do, lucky.

Probably the only difference is that it's urban rather than suburban (but this mainly because suburbs in Italy almost doesn't exist, at least not in the way your're probably used to know them)but it is heavily regulated as well.
To look for these kind of places i need to go always out of town, in the countryside when i'm looking for a certain kind of things or in old industrial areas when i'm looking for abandoned palces.
Also I always try to spot places when i travel for other reasons, or via google earth and such.
Either way they're not that near to where i live, so i wouldn't say i'm lucky

By the way, I was just thinking. I am going to release my sixth album this February, the general theme of the album is desert, being stuck in the desert (as a dream or a delusion), so I was thinking - since I really love polaroid/etc pictures, I could use some material for my cover art.
Just saying, if you have some ideas, I would appreciate it. Genre of my music - post-rock, but I guess you do remember that, right?
