The 5th men look human. Not engineered from 4th men genetics, but from 3rd man genes. The 4th men had gone over the edge...

If man repeatedly going to the very edge of extinction in the novel boggles you, just keep in mind that mankind is the character, not individual families. I think the foreword says that.

but now I have finished first four species in color.

Really good! I'm surprised it hasn't been featured in the Future humans group.

Only two things seem off to me(you see I've recently re-read the book) the second men had fur or at least thick hair over most of their bodies including their faces presumably(although maybe heavy shaving this guy for some reason?) and didn't the second men have very short hair on their heads consistently as well as huge muscular eyebrows?

Anyway, some small things seem off about this.

Weren't the second men...fairly hirsute? Didn't the fith men have massive eyebrows?
