heres a LIL bit of info. sorry for the length. lmao

think of these as future cross bred between attackchoppers and Vtol fighter( The harrier is a good pick)
this escort has a large bore machine gun under the nose(as you can see) that the gunner fires by looking at his target and firing. also has a very large bore laser cannons attatched to both central section of the wings, for the pilot to fire.
these replaced the modern unguided rocket systems used in attackchoppers. Also(not modeled on yet becuase I just remembered. lol. are 6 AA(AnitAir) missiles.

On the outer wings are 10 Hellfire II missiles(well future type versions of course) they are slightly smaller. but also have FAF(Fire And Forget) for the gunner to fire at heavy armored targets. Up to well over 5 miles away(since these are future missile they should fire farther. lol)
Also note that each section of wing and engine are seperate. this gives alot of flexability. when not goin through afighter type mode it can hover and move like a attachchopper(the engine go verticle) also there are engine on the front to make it do extreme reverses(up, down, forward, and back) like a chopper as well.

the great part about the wings is the weapon systems. the laser cannons for the pilot stay foward for him to use whenever he needs them. and for when he needs his AA missiles as well. like take this idea in a scene. the pilot could be hovering and se a target on screen above. he then can raise his wings to fire at the aircraft(or even downward at a ground target)

but heres the even cooler part. whne the pilot can be using his part of the wings. the outer, other part will keep lined up for the gunner. so when ever he needs his Hellfires they will be aiming foward for him(even when he needs them aimed higher up or lower)

so umn...have fun. lmao
