Well basicly I have seen V6 taken it into consideration and I love it, Its got some amazing features and abilitys as far as user interface and the brand new look is amazing, But it seems un finished.Why not develope the new features with the rest of the site. Yea I know that sounds like a lot of work and it is kinda rude for me to shove the hard work that has already been done and all the hard thinking the developers have put into V6
But Im only here to suggest some more ideas to improve it!
Although im sure my ideas have already been on the desk before but why not give it a try!
KEY
F1 - Basicly some nice buttons and a new skin for the CSS box's to complement them.
F2 - This is just the Search button with a new look to match the search bar. Maybe even a real text box to type in and just go from their.
F3 - This one would be an important feature to note on. The editable posts would ONLY work for the posts that you made on your own dA page, this is to help keep users from creating spam on other pages so they cant just edit their post and say they didn't do anything. It would also only be editable for your posts on your page, or a submission of yours.
F4 - Another nice feature is to take out hiding posts and have a delete feature, Sometimes people can post spam or un wanted comments, Those can be deleted now as well as your posts, but you can only delete posts from your page only, if you post somewhere else only that user that you posted on can delete it. Of course this feature may upset some because then your posts may be deleted from another's page, which may cause people to be upset over the feature, so its just a thought.
F5 - Just a new twist on things. Maybe add the same footer colors in other parts such as this.

F1 - Nice, but the blue text on the buttons is, to be honest, not very good. If the text color on those buttons matched the text color for normal text, then they'd look better -- IMO, at least.
F2 - Why do we need a search bar in the +Fav'd news section?
F3 - Too much potential for abuse. Being able to append to comments would be useful (being able to add to comments, but not delete) -- especially if the added text was clearly seperated from the rest of the text and marked with a date.
F4 - Waaaay too much potential for abuse. A person could act like an idiot while breaking the rules in a spectacular function, and then just delete their own posts to hide their crime, while leaving in other's posts and claiming they were flamed.
F5 - Neat.

F4- But it could function just like the "Hide" feature-- You can only delete comments that were made on your work. I mean, with hide you can't see them anyway. Why not take it the step further?
But I very much like your idea about appending comments; Hadn't thought about that!

When you hide a comment, people still know its there, and the text is still on the server for dA's staff members to view. Deleting a comment leaves no trace whatsoever.

Well. True that, but they could do a better job at hiding them? They could appear deleted to us but to staff they'd still show up

And the "hide message" suggestion. Having something hidden makes it look like you have something to hide :s

Some changes I'd love to see happen. Although I think the new message system is alright besides how clicking the "x Deviations, y Messages, Z notes" takes you to the all-purpose message center instead of their individual folders.

I agree with =frozenpandaman , rounded edges are more aesthetically pleasing. Now, you KNOW I'm no authority on these sorts of things (I'm always hopelessly lost every time dA changes the way any little thing looks), but I think you've got some interesting little additions/suggestions there.
Also, it's good to see someone so exited about all the new changes v6 has brought amidst the negativity (though, I must say, I'm not so pleased with the way the message centre is handled now... I think i much prefer the old way, but maybe it just takes getting used to.. I'm hoping).

Well the X's are for the user only to delete any un wanted posts, or to clean it up or w/e the user wish's.
As for the avatar I guess it wouldnt matter much to be moved up with the name but then the top would be taller which means more page scrolling, but I guess its kinda in the air lol

You can't delete comments, and you never will be able to.

lol yea I just thought that it may cause people to be upset over the feature of people deleting comments all the time, but I do think that the edit feature for your own profile page and such would still be nice to have.
