This deserves at least one paragraph of praise.
First off, the lighting is superb. The bricks look very polished, as they would be in a temple, but not so much so that it's unrealistic. In fact, the textures are spot on, almost makes me think of morning condensation on the cold bricks, which makes sense considering the mideval world of HyruleΒ has no means of insulation for a massive temple like this. Second, the perspective is great. Having Link in the foreground really gives me a sense of scale, makes it look absolutely huge, which is it exactly how it felt back when I was like 10 and first saw the Temple of Time. I love the Legend of Zelda. It was my first taste of the fantasy genre. Thank you, this piece made me feel as awed as I did back then.
