Description
This is my contribution to a contest, that was about drawing the Naruto characters in contemporary clothing and the Akatsuki members in some sort of formal, business suits.Concerning Madaraβs past as a military leader, I wanted to add some elements of the basic design of a uniform to it and therefore blended the designs of Hugo Boss and Masashi Kishimoto with my own ideas.

Naw, I just did the best I could so far, that's all! And being quite perfectionistic I couldn't help putting extra effort into this pic, I mean it's for a contest, after all... and I'd be really happy if I'd win. (If not it's ok as well, since I did it out of love for the character and drawing itself in the first place! 
Oh my, I don't want to think about what comments I'd have gotten if I didn't write the explanation about political issues. Unfortunately German people are still seen and labelled as Nazis in some countries.

I also will be very happy if you won! See, the theme is very unique, I think it has nothing similar! And Madara could help a lot, besides being extremely sexy, and you made him even more attractive, we know that LaviRavi likes it too! And who does not like men in uniform? 
Hmm, about these Naziz thing.... not to worry, I think the world will always have those kind of people, but I just hate it ... you can be sure, pre concept,(prejudices) is one of the worst diseases of mankind.

I'm terribly curious, too, as you might imagine.
What is your guess, if I might ask?
There are so many talented artists featured, some even pretty "famous" ones like YakushiKabuto and RussianKunoichi, so it's not that easy to imagine who she might pick for the first three places.
Anyways here in Germany we have a saying that goes:
"Man soll den Tag nicht vor dem Abend loben."
It means that we shouldn't jump to a conclusion and rejoice too quickly. Without even waiting for the final results, that is.
Therefore I just wait patiently for her decision. ^^
Well, it took me some days to complete it, considering that I worked only an hour on it each day.
Whatever, as long as you like the result, it was worth the effort!
And yes, I really loved working on it very much!
Right now I'm drawing a second pic. This time featuring Mei-chan! ^w^
LaviRavi didn't say "just one", after all!

Yes, it is... I have seen many beautiful images *-* and you're right, the artists are all very good and talented, but I think that your Madara has real chances of being chosen, because it has everything to do with the contest itself . LaviRavi herself commented on military uniforms, is not it? So.. your picture is great xD

The other pics are great, too. I think everyone deserves to win. Guess I should never hold a contest myself, as I would be really unable to pick someone, knowing that all of the artists put so much work and love in their creations - regardless what style or level of skill.
I'm curious about the doujin, too. But since it's LaviRavi we're talking about, we can expect great things!

Yes, you're right, really I do not care much about the "quality" itself, you know... sometimes a simple drawing or sketch may have much feeling *-*
But, is that I think LaviRavi behind of something special, innovative.. she is really struggling, I'm sure it will be a good contest anyway, because we can see the works of all, besides the doujin

Well, actually not all outfits are really contemorary. As you see, the SS Uniforms are historical as well.... and if I'd drew Gaara I would possibly borrow ideas of the design of his outfit from a historical person called Lawrence of Arabia (definitely not contemporary). [link]

yes, your idea is great, although I do not draw much of Gaara, I love him a lot and I think the clothes has combined a lot, as well as the historical personage, very interesting ^^
