i've been taking pictures all year that i've wanted to do as squares and with texture. but haven't had the time or will to work on. thank you my friend

You just gave me a kick in the butt, I've been making various overlays and sharing the less fortunate ones. After seeing yours I decided to start using them on here too. One thing for you though, Your pictures are becoming too good to post without a watermark that isn't easy to remove like the DA mark. LAB, curves, channels and a little cut and paste(my research was in digital printing for a large company).

I was thinking of putting a finger print on them I'm using a cookie sheet for texture so it should be easy to add as another layer

We used to make them on high contrast copy film in the darkroom and sell them to the art students for originality. Basically, anything you can do in photoshop could also be done in the darkroom, it was just a little harder and cost a lot in 8 x 10 film. People used to look at me funny when I took texture pictures with a Hasselblad.
