Amazing piece. I'm thinking of that song "Mars, Bringer of War." Which leads me to think of that scene from the Venture Bros. with 21 and 24.
Nice work here.

Mars, the Roman god of war. His servants are the demons Fear and Panic, Deimos and Phobeos. The planet is thought to be covered by the blood of Mars' emenies.
The first thougths of alien life comes from the red planet as people thought they saw canals upon it surface, leading H.G. Wells to write the novel 'The War of the Worlds'.
In actual fact, Mars is covered in Iron oxide dust and is far to cold for complex life forms to live on. But there is a hope that when the human race starts to colonise space, Mars might be Terra formed to a support Earth life.

Reminds me of Gustav Holst's "Mars, Bringer Of War" movement in the Planets Suite
Which I happen to be listening to....

What a coincidence!
I was planning to use a shot of one of those series by *Cobweb-stock for my Mars/Ares Mythology series and I see I'm not the only one who has though about it!

Limited online time that past year or so. I've still got deviations from last March in my Inbox awaiting comments.
I've been living with my folks this past year providing assisted living for them as their health declines. But, on the whole, I'm doing well.
I signed up for an Art class at the local community college, simply because it forces me to be creative on a regular basis.
These days I've been doing more photography than artwork.

I've been meaning to comment on this ever since you posted it. It's absolutely great. The vibrant colors and unusual angle are spectacular.
*Cobweb-stock looks great in many roles, but this one seems to fit him especially well.
Really nice work.
