ah the earrings - the Luteces - integral characters to the game - best to be vague - even if you think you know all the probabilities - it is still far more infinite than you know.

What's weirder is that if you search enough voxophones, turns out they're actually the same person.

I know right, I only realised it after I completed the game, man that game continues to play with my mind.

Mine too!

I mean, if Elizabeth killed Booker. Wouldn't that also wipe HER out of existence? Because he only settled down AFTER he refused the baptism, not before. Dyoh, this makes my head hurt. But in a good way.

Unlike the last minute bullsh*t that some OTHER gaming franchises end up with in their trilogies.

ISAAC CLARK: Do you think he's talking about us?

COMMANDER SHEPARD: What do you think?

I have the answer here, took some figuring but I've got it.

Killing Booker DID wipe Elizabeth out of existence, hence why she disappeared at the end, but because they were traveling through worlds, she could avoid a grandfather paradox.

In practice, she didn't go to the past, rather another world running several years behind the one they were in, the time they arrive at was a point of divergence, where only two options could play out, one leading to infinite Comstocks, the other to infinite Bookers (hence Bioshock: infinite).

Finally, by killing Booker before he had the chance to do the baptism, she changed the path of the world that spawned the infinite Columbias, but because she was in the present at all times, even wiping herself out didn't invoke the grandfather paradox, because her actions didn't render that world impossible.

And yeah, killzone's springing to mind here too.
