The eyes actually are pretty interesting. The mouth and drooped eyes have a bit of a "derpy" look to them, which is honestly just pretty amusing to look at haha.

and yes, that is exactly what I wanted to capture here..
maybe not 'derp' but an expression that shows that he clearly isn't in the..clearest state of mind (maybe that's due to that black ooze? who knows!)

Eh... i probably didn't use the best word possible, but the point's the same. I guess it was more of a mindless expression that I was trying to explain. And yup, the black ooze is definitely an effective touch. It's like drooling. That and the eyes really do suggest a mindlessness.
