It wasn't until this drawing that I realized that the dealios that stick out on her staff are supposed to make it look like a Staff of Caduceus.

Clever title and I like the division of color here. Mercy for most of what I've seen has been protrayed far from being a soldier, but (partially alluded by the colors) here she quite different from that, wielding a unseen ferocity and displaying a battle-hardened resolve as the fighter inside of her comes out. Very cool.
Edit: I detect a slight chance that I might be overthinking it a tad. Not like I've ever done that before. Pfft.
