If I am not mistaken, and by the shape of the cockpit and windscreen, this poor old girl is a Grumman HU-16 (USAF_SA-16A) Albatross/Pelican, built by the Grumman Aircraft Co., Bethpage, Long Is., NY. My Father was crew chief on one after transitioning from the PBY-5 Catalina’s he served on during the Second World War. Both served as workhorses in air-sea rescue
operations. The various iterations served all US services, and in numerous countries, and found new lives as private executive seaplanes. They started manufacturing and testing in the mid to late 1940's. There are two operational planes her in the area that take people out on flights and do
touch and go takeoffs on Lake Conroe TX. I have a color photograph of my Father standing next to one on the ramp of our county airport taken shortly before he passed away. He told me that the Albatross's, when loaded with all their required gear would often not be able to take off. Most often, they
needed JATO/RATO units attached to get airborne. Your image gives me the shivers. It is a ghostly and sad sight, and a bad end for any seaplane. My Father had his Catalina improved with nose art. It was an Alberto Vargas pin-up painting of a scantily clad, reclining blonde-haired woman, named the "Miss Pick-Up". Sadly, she lies at the bottom of the cold North Atlantic near the Arctic Circle.

Looks that You right about identification of a plane. Very interesting notes, especially about JATO/RATO units. Didn't know that.

Буду дома, могу скинуть несколько брашпаков, потому что у меня понамешано всего в кучу, что где конкретно откуда было я уже не помню.
