Description

This is a backstory on a couple of OC’s in my manga… Enjoy!

“Daz was a student at Blue Rock Naval Academy, a prestigious training institute for future admirals of the Marines. He was afforded the opportunity to attend school there by his uncle, Vice Admiral Jonathan. Because of this, he was looked on as an undeserving legacy student by many of his peers; most of whom, earned their admission. So Daz dedicated himself to work hard to prove – not only to his class, but also to himself – that he deserved to be there. It was around this time that another student – with a very different background – started to garner the attention of both his peers and instructors.

Dallas, an orphaned renegade; born from poverty and raised to survive the deadly streets of São Vela, epicenter of both the rich and poverty stricken. Dallas was as brilliant as he was savage. He started out as a courier with a group of youngsters for the local gangs that controlled the slums. And as their outfit grew, he paved the way for the boys to expand their operations.

Eventually, the band of lost boys grew into a formidable organization that was gaining both power and influence within the boroughs. This new gang was seen as a great threat by the older syndicates, who feared what these children would become. So in a desperate and violent effort, the college of gangs attacked the children; slaughtering everyone to prevent their kind from challenging their strength again. Dallas was the only survivor of that incident. He fled the country aboard a small skiff where he crossed paths with a marine battleship. Once aboard, he was taken in by the ships then captain, and served as a chore boy for the remainder of their tour. Upon reaching HQ, Dallas was recommended to Blue Rock and was quickly accepted by the Dean. It was there that Daz and Dallas would meet for the first time.

Two young men from very different backgrounds, both excelling above their class in every single way. While Daz was an outcast for his legacy status, Dallas isolated himself from the crowd. The two would finally cross paths when they faced each other in a sword sparring session. After besting the rest of their class, the time had come for the two boys to face each other. Daz, who was classically trained by his uncle from an early age, was very capable with a sword. And Dallas, who grew up in a kill or be killed environment, used his brutality and savagery to defeat his opponents.

The start of the match was fairly standard, Dallas scored the first two points over Daz with a strike to the shoulder and abdomen, respectively. But during the third round, something happened within Daz, and he accidentally struck Dallas in the face, scaring him near his left eye. Given his hot tempered nature, Dallas was quick to bounce back from the hit with a hailstorm of swift strikes that Daz could barely parry. The fight escalated into an all out battle as Dallas almost seemed dead set on killing Daz. Finally, he is able to get the upper hand and flings Dallas’ sword away. This doesn’t stop the rage that Dallas has as he lunges at Daz and lands several successive blows to his face. The two are finally pulled apart by students and faculty, but the damage has already been done, a rivalry is born.”
